FINNS GRATEFUL
NEW ZEALAND DONATION (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The gratitude of Finland for the contribution of £SOOO (New Zealand currency) made by the New Zealand Government toward Red Cross work in that country is expressed in a cable' message received today by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, from Miss Peggy Gripenberg, Finnish Red Cross representative in London. The cablegram reads: “The Finnish Red Cross gratefully acknowledges receipt of £SOOO so generously given by the New Zealand Government toward the cost of Red Cross work in Finland. This donation has been handed to us by the High Commissioner, Mr W. J. Jordan. We are sending the official receipt to him. This cablegram is expressing the gratitude of the Finnish Government, the Finnish people and the Finnish Red Cross to the Government of New Zealand.”
