WITHDRAWAL OF FINNS INVADERS IN SOLID MASS 3500 RUSSIANS KILLED (United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 16 The Finns admit that under terrific pressure from the Russians they have withdraNvn from their first line positions at a number of points in the Summa sector, says a message from Helsinki. The narrow Taibela River alone separates the Russian and Finnish armies.” However, according to the latest Helsinki report, the Finnish forces have counter-attacked and recaptured some of their advance positions on parts of the front. The fighting yesterday was so intense that the Finns claim that 3500 Russians were killed. One correspondent states that the Russians seemed to reach the Finnish lines in a solid mass. The Russians are reported to be bringing up even more artillery, according to another correspondent. The Finns are calling up still another class—men to 44 years of age.
