HAIL OF BULLETS
GERMAN RAIDS SHATTERED FIGHT DURING SNOWSTORM NAZI PLANE SHOT DOWN (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Feb. 16, 3.15 p.m.) PARIS, Feb. 15 A hail of bullets from French machine-guns shattered two German raids during a snowstorm. The French found several German dead abandoned in “No Man’s Land” after the enemy had scattered. The Germans apparently hoped to secure prisoners. The French are reported to have shot down a Heinkel behind the lines. Mr Oliver Stanley, visited a number of secret pill-boxes along what is known as the Gort Line, built to supplement the French blockhouses and anti-tank traps. BERLIN, Feb. 15 The news agency claims that the Germans captured a number of prisoners from a French observation post. A German double sentry post repulsed a group of enemy shock troops. Patrol operations on both sides enlivened the usual artillery action.
The Air Force continued reconnaissances over France.
