NOMINATIONS TO-MORROW Nominations for the Franklin Racing Club’s summer meeting at Pukekohe on March 2 close to-morrow at 5 p.m. with Blomfield and Company, Shortland Street, Auckland, and at 6 p.m., with the secretary, Mr W. J. Short, Pukekohe.
FUTURE OF BEAU VITE The proposed trip to Australia of the leading three-year-old Beau Vite to contest the A.J.C. and V.R.C. St. Legers has been abandoned owing to transport difficulties. Beau Vite will instead finish up his three-year-old season in the Dominion, and his next appearance will be in the Taranaki Stakes, run on the second day of the Taranaki Jockey Club’s autumn meeting on March 9.
