CREDENTIALS OF LEXDEN ON THE UPGRADE AGAIN WON AT LAST START Following a third at Taranaki and two seconds at the Stratford holiday fixture in the New Year, Lexden improved to beat a useful field of sprinters at the Ashhurst-Pohangina fixture last month and he won in a manner indicative of further achievement.
It will be recalled that it was at this meeting last year that Lexden won the Linley Hack Handicap in convincing fashion from Orwere and Kathbella and as he can claim previous acquaintance with Te Rapa and is in splendid heart at present he is sure to command a following in the President’s Handicap on Saturday under the handy impost of 7.0.
