SECONDARY SCHOOLS
ROLLS IN HAMILTON INCREASE AT HIGH SCHOOL There is an increase of 13 on the roll of the Hamilton High School this year compared with 1939, while at the Hamilton Technical High School the roll is approximately the same as last year. Enrolments of new pupils at both schools are on a par with last year’s. The roll at the High School is 491 (478 last jyear), of whom 151 are new pupils. Ninety-four of these are girls and 57 boys. Of last year’s pupils 152 girls and 188 boys have returned.
While the final figures are not yet available, the Hamilton Technical High School roll will be approximately 600, almost the same as in 1939, of whom 250 are new pupils. The roll comprises approximately 360 boys and 240 girls.
