BOARD’S TRIBUTES
LOSS OF A MEMBER THE LATE MR J. J. RYBURN “He was a fine and helpful member of the board,” said Mr T. Hinton, chairman of the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board, at the meeting to-day, when referring to the late Mr J. J. Ryburn. A resolution of sympathy with his family was passed. Mr N. Reid said that many of the electrical facilities in the Waipa area of the board would not have eventuated but for Mr Ryburn’s work. The engineer-manager, Mr J. R. Ellis, paid a tribute to the late member on behalf of the staff. The board has communicated with the Waipa County Council requesting that it appoint a member to the board to fill the vacancy. Mr N. Reid has been appointed to the finance committee to replace the late Mr Ryburn.
