ELECTRICIAN KILLED
FELL 18ft. TO CONCRETE i (By Telea-ranh.— Pres* Association) WELLINGTON. Tuesday Fatal injuries were received by Mr John H. Darby, # single, electrician, employed by the New Zealand Railways, when he fell about 18ft. from a pole on to a concrete base half-way between Plimmerton and Paramata about 4.30 p.m. to-day. Mr Darby was climbing a pole at the railways sub-station and was about half-way up when his foot slipped on one of the steps. He received head injuries and concussion. An ambulance was called, but Mr Darby was dead when it arrived.
