LABOUR CANDIDATE RETURNED (United Press Asm.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 12. The Southwark by-election resulted:—Mr J. H. Martin (Labour), | 5285; Mr C. W. Pearson (War Advocate), 2550; Mrs Vanderelst (National Independent), 1382. The election was due to the death of Mr Harry Day (Labour).
