PLUNKET SOCIETY
FRANKTON SUB-BRANCH The Frankton sub-branch of the Plunket Society met in the rooms recently, when Mrs Ewart Brown presided over almost a full meeting. It was decided to support the Hamilton branch regarding the purchase of a car for both the Hamilton and Frankton nurses and to contribute a share of the purchase price of the car, etc., as outlined by Dominion headquarters. The work of the Plunket Society is growing rapidly, especially in the care and attention given to preschool children, and parents will realise that the possession of a car will facilitate and widen the area of the nurses’ activities. It will be necessary for this branch to raise funds for the present year and the committee has decided to hold another baby carnival in the near future, when it is hoped there will be the usual generous response.
