WEDDING

FLEMMING—JACOBS WHITE SATIN GOWN The wedding was solemnised at j the Star of Hope Mission Hall, Ros- ] trevor Street, Hamilton, on the morning of Saturday, February 10, when Ada Augusta, seventh daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Jacobs, of Oparau, was married to Thcmas William, only son of Mr and Mrs M. Flemming, of Ngaruawahia. The ceremony was performed by Mr T. S. Webster and Mrs V. M. Webster played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming gown of white Mongolian satin cut on slimfitting lines. The bodice of the frock, which was buttoned at the | back with the same pearl buttons as were worn on the bridegroom’s mother’s wedding dress, was designed with long sleeves, puffed on the shoulders, the neckline being adornj ed with a spray of orange blossom and two diamante clips. Her veil of white silk embroidered tulle fell from a halo of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of white seasonable flowers and maidenhair fern. The Bridesmaid In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Eileen Jacobs, sister of the bride, who was wearing a frock of Marina blue net over satin, fashioned with full elbow-length sleeves. She wore a headdress of matching blue tulle and flowers and carried a bouquet of pink and blue flowers and maidenhair fern. Mr Stanley Rau, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Centreway Rooms, which were artistically decorated with blue and white flowers. The guests were received by Mrs Jacobs, who wore a navy silk georgette and floral ensemble and navy accessories. She carried c posy of blue asters. The mother of the bridegroom wore a floral silk frock under a navy coat and matching accessories. Her posy was composed of mauve and red dahlias. When Mr and Mrs T. W. Flemming left by car for the honeymoon the bride travelled in a floral navy frock, a navy coat and matching accessories. They will make their home in Ngaruawahia.
