COMING ELECTION OF GENERAL SEVERAL CANDIDATES ACCEPTED (United Press. Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 24, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 23 The Salvation Army High Council has accepted the following nominations for the generalship: LieutenantCommissioner William Dalziel (Australia;, Commissioners Catherine Bramwell Booth and George L. Carpenter (Canada), Benjamin Harnes (United "States), Lieutenant Commissioner Albert Ursborn (Scotland), and Commissioner Ireland, who was Chief Secretary for New Zealand before his appointment to Scotland and Ireland. The council is drawing up a questionnaire for the candidates.
