MATAMATA DISPERSAL SALE Newton King Limited report holding one of the most successful clearing sales conducted in Matamata district for many years when they offered Mr I. nastie s herd of 70 Jersey and Jersey cro-ss dairy cows, 17 2-year Jersey and Jersey cross heifers, 19 yearling heifers, and a full range of implements on the farm, Spring's Road, Matamata, last Monday. The herd came forward in splendid condition and met with spirited competition from first to last from a large and representative bench of buyers, the satisfactory average of £lO 10s, over all resulting. July and August calvers sold freely from £H to £ l:t 10s. September and October calvers realised from £8 10s lo £1«» 10s. the sale being particularly consistent. The heifers, although a little on Hie small side, were particularly good quality and were keenly competed for. the most forward spiling from £0 to £lo, more backward from £7 10s to £8 las. The yearling heifers displayed great, qualitv and sold freely from £3 2s Gd to £4 3s. The tractor and mower realised £lB2, the sweep £32, side delivery rake £35, sundries selling freely at late rates.
