ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
STRUCK BY WHEEL RIM ACCIDENTS IN PAEROA PAEROA, Thursday Struck by the steel rim of a motor truck wheel which flew off while he was repairing a puncture, Mr Harold Lloyd, employed by Messrs Brenan and Company, carriers, received severe head injuries and a lacerated finger. He was taken to the Paeroa Hospital end later to Thames. Injuries to the head were suffered bv Mr John Brockctt, of Paeroa, when he was knocked down by a car while cycling to work this morning. The driver was Philip McWatters, son of Mr D. McWatters. Mr Brockett was taken to the Paeroa Hospital and subsequently transferred to Thames.
COLLISION WITH BULL CAR PASSENGER RECEIVES CUTS TE PUKE, Thursday A car driven by Mr W. Mundt came into collision with a bull on Hie road near Te Puke on Wednesday night. Mr Mundt escaped lightly, but a passenger, Mr Ruche, was severely cut by splintered glass. The car was extensively damaged and the bull was so severely injured that it had to be destroyed.
