WOMAN LAWYER
FIRST IN HAMILTON DISTRICT Miss Elizabeth M. Urquhart, LL.B., of Rotorua, was yesterday admitted by Mr Justice Callan at Auckland as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court. This is the first time for nearly three years that a woman has been admitted to the bar. Miss Urquhart, who will enter into ! practice with her father, Mr G. UrquI hart, of Rotorua, will be the first ! woman law practitioner in the Hamilton judicial district.
