OBITUARY
MR W. W. DAW A PROMINENT FREEMASON (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Saturday The death has occurred of Mr Walter Witton Daw, of Epsom, and formerly of the Waikato, aged 82 years. Born in England, Mr Daw was at one time a member of the London Stock Exchange. He came to New ; Zealand about 50 years ago and took up land at Waitetuna, near Raglan. While in Raglan he was a prominent 1 figure among English Freemasons and for 30 years" held high positions in the Order, including that of deputy-dis-trict grand master. He was also a past i assistant-director of ceremonies of the ! United Grand Lodge of England. For 'about 25 years, until his retirement, three years ago, lie was grand secretary for the Auckland district. He was i recognised as an authority on all mat- ! ters connected with Freemasonry. The late Mr Daw is survived by liis j wife and one daughter, Mrs W. J. Bridgman, of Gordonton. i MR ANTHONY ADLER I (Special to Times) TAURANGA, Friday I The death has occurred ot -Mr I Anthony Adler, a well-Lnown Tauranga ’ farmer, aged 69. Mr Adler was horn ' in Australia, and came to New Zealand 1 33 years ago, taking up land In the i Ilun'tlv district. He came to Tauranga ! 21 years ago and acquired a section 1 J in the uiiauiti Pluck.
