PUBLIC NOTICES. JXAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL. RATES FOR YEAR 1937-38. Notice is hereby given that It is the intention of the Council under the powers conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Rating Act, 1925, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and Valuation of Land Amendment Act, 1933, their Amendments and all other powers enabling, at a special meeting to be held at 7.30 p.m. on WEDNESDAY the 11th. day of August, 1937, to make and levy for the year commencing the Ist. day of April, 1937, and ending the 31st. day of March, 1938, the following rates: — Over the HAMILTON area of the Borough, a Consolidated Rate of seven pence and .two hundred and forty five thousandths of a penny (7.245 d) in the £ in lieu of a General Rate of two pence and ninetenths of a penny (2.9 d) in the £ upon seventy-five per cent (except where otherwise provided by subsection 3 of Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act 1933) of the unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Hamilton as at the 31st. March 1937, and a Special rate of four pence and three hundred and forty five thousandths of a penny (4.345) in the £ to cover Interest and Sinking Fund on loans subject to Hamilton Borough Loans Conversion Orders 1934, Nos. 1,2, 5, 7 and 8 also Sewerage Relief £7,300 Loan, Streets and Library Renewal Loan £'9,000, the Fairfield Bridge Loan £9,000, Drainage No. 1 Inscribed Loan of £1240 17s lid, £IO,OOO Part Drainage' £IIO,OOO Loan and Hamilton Bridge Loan £6OOO, upon seventy-five per cent. (except where otherwise provided by Subseotion 3 of Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act 1933) of unimproved values of all rateable property in' that portion of the Borough of Hamilton which constituted the Borough of Hamilton on the 30th. day of September, 1912.

Over the CLAUDELANDS area of the Borough a consolidated rate of seven pence and one hundred and forty live thousandths of a penny (7.145 d) in the £ in lieu of the General Rate above described and a Special Rate of fourpence and two hundred and forty five thousandths of a penny (4.245 d) in the £ to cover tlie interest and Sinking Fund on Loans subject to the Hamilton Borough Loans Conversion Orders 1934, Nos. 1,4, 5, 7 and 8, also Sewerage Relief £7,300 Loan, Streets and Library Renewal Loan £9,000, the Fairfield Bridge Loan £9,000, loans of £BSO is 2d, £5,128 13s Id, £6,113 13s lid (the last three raised by other authorities),! Hamilton Bridge Loan £6,000, and £IO,OOO Part Drainage £IIO,OOO Loan, upon seventy-five per cent, (except where otherwise provided by Sub-section 3 of Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act 1933) of the unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing in the current year’s Valuation Roll of that portion of the Borough of Hamilton known as Claudelands being that area included in the Borough of Hamilton as from the Ist. day of October 1912. Over the FRAN KIT ON area of the Borough a Consolidated rate of eight pence and fifteen hundredths of a penny (S.lsd) in the £ in lieu of the General Rate above described and a Special Rate of five pence and twenty-five hundredths of a penny (5.25 d) in the £ to cover Interest and Sinking Fund on Special Loan raised by the Waipa County Council £lsl 16s 2d Inscribed Sanitary Loan, State Advances Loan of £I,OOO, Bridge, Street Improvements £1,200, Streets Loan £'2,000, £2,000 and £I,OOO, £IO,OOO Part Drainage £IIO,OOO Loan, Hamilton Bridge Loan £6,000, Sewerage Drainage Relief Loan of £7,300, Streets and Library Renewal Loan £9,000, Fair- : field Bridge Loan £9OOO and the j Loans subject to the Hamilton Borough Conversion 'Orders 1934 Nos. 1,6, 7 and 8, upon seventy-five per cent, (except where otherwise provided -by Sub-section 3 of Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act 1933) of the unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing in the current year’s Valuation Roll of that portion of the Borough of Hamilton known as Frankton being that area included in the Borough of Hamilton as from the Ist. April, 1917.

Over the MAEROA area of ftie Borough, a ■consolidated rate of eleven pence and seventy-five thousandths of a penny (11.075 d) In the £ in lieu of the General Rate above described and a Special Rate of eight pence and one hundred and seventyfive thousandths of a penny (8.175 d) in the £ to cover Interest and Sinking Fund on Special Loans raised by the Waipa County Council, Sewerage Drainage Relief Loan £7300, Fairfield Bridge Loan £OOOO, Hamilton Bridge Loan £6OOO and Loans subject to Hamilton Borough Loans Conversion Orders 1934 Nos. t and 3 on seventy-five per cent, (except where otherwise provided by Sub-section 3 of Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act 1933) of the unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing in the current year’s Valuation Roil of that portion of tlie Borough of Hamilton known as Maeroa being that area included in the Borough of Hamilton as from ihe Ist. day of April, 192 5. Over the RICHMOND area of the Borough, a Consolidated rate of nine pence and seventy-five thousandths of a penny (9.075 d) in the pound (£) in lieu of the General Rate above described, and a Special Rate of sixpence and one hundred and seventy-five thousandths of a penny (0.173 d) in the £ to cover Interest and Sinking Fund on Special Loans raised by Hie Waipa County Council, the Richmond Area Sewer and Water Loan £2,300, and the Hamilton Bridge Loan £O,OOO, on seventy-five per cent, (except where otherwise provided by Subsection 3 of Section 3 of I lie Valuation of Land Amendment Act 1933) of the unimproved value of all rateable, property appearing in the current year's Valuation Roll of that portion of Hie Borough of Hamilton known as the Richmond Area being that area included in the Borough of Hamilton as from fsi.
