SUNDAY CONCERTS.

MALE CHOIR’S VIEWB. UNAPPRECIATIVE AUDIENCES. That they disapproved of Sunday concerts was the general opinion of members of the Hamilton Male Choir, when it was asked at the annual meeting held in the Railway Buildings last evening, if the society had any objections to participating in affairs of that nature.

It was considered that the wrong type of music was generally supplied at these functions and the audiences seemed unappreciative of appropriate music when It was provided. Besides, the choir had been formed with the object of affording mutual enjoyment to its members. Several members maintained that after singing in the church choirs on Sundays they were disinclined to participate in any further choral activities that day. Providing the cause was a worthy one and If the audiences were more appreciative th« choir would have no objection to Joining in these functions.
