MATCH WITH AUCKLAND. A Hamilton cricket team travelled 1 to Remuera on Sunday where they were defeated by an Auckland X! by 24 runs. Auckland batted first and scored 156 (Tovey 46, Smith 20, Hawbrook 20). Bowling for Hamilton, Truscott took seven wickets for 32 runs. Hamilton’s innings realised 132 (Cann 35, Truscott 26, Clark 21). Andrews six for 56 and Goodsir four for 40, were the best bowlers for the home team.
