During the week-end a match was played by the Putaruru team against Ngon got alia at Glenshea Park, the former winning- by 12 runs on the flrst Innings. Scores:— Putaruru first innings, 120 (Tomlinson 13, Renner 21, Staunton 18, Parker 17 not out, E. Williams 26). Bowling for Ngongotaha, Paul took seven for 47 and Kerr one for 30. Ngongotaha 108 (Hanson 16, Kerr i 7, Denyer 16, Burns 24 not out). Bowling Tor Putaruru, Wilks took four for 44 and Renner five for 24. Putaruru second Innings 163 (Renner 86, Tomlinson 24, Wilks 21, Alexandra 13, E. Williams 13 not out). Bowling Tor Ngongotaha, Bowden took five for 21, and Emerali three for 37. PLAY AT ARAPUNI. TWO POINT WIN FOR “A” TEAM. Attractive batting and bowling were features of the cricket match between tbe Arapuni A and B teams on Saturday. B. Lowry carried his bat lor 110 runs after a good display. At one period the B team had lost live wickets for 12 runs, but a good stand by Aikman and Clayton stopped the rot.
