OKOROIRE DANCE.

POPULAR FUNCTION. Seldom has the Okoroire Hall looked as attractive as it did on Thursday evening, when a dance was held to celebrate the opening of the new supper-room. The hall presented a c-olourful scene with attractively arranged autumn shaded streamers. Visitors were present from surrounding districts and a very enjoyable evening was spent. In the absence of the president, Mr R. Carruth, Mr Gubb declared the new room open. The Ambassadors’ 'Orchestra played excellent music and Mr J. Andrewsen was M.C. A special feature of the evening was an item played on the mouth organ by Mr 'Ken Musker, of Tirau, which was very much appreciated. Mr and Mrs Harwood were the winners of a spot waltz.
