POINT-TO-POINT RACES.

WAIKATO HUNT MEETING. BLUSTERY WEATHER. 1 Blustery spring weather with occasional sharp showers prevailed on Saturday for the annual point-to-point meeting of the Waikato Hunt, held at Fencourt. There was a large attendance, but the cold made fur ; coats and raincoats over heavy tweeds i llie most popular wear among the : feminine spectators. Following the point-to-point a very Jolly dance was held by the younger members of the hunt in the Tauwhare Hall In the evening, at which there was a very large number present. Gaiety was the keynote of the function which went with a swing from the commencement, and was warmly enjoyed by the dancers. Music was played by Clarrie Cresswell and his orchestra and extras by Mr Gordon Johns, of Eureka, were much appreciated. Novelty dances added further to the enjoyme’nt of the evening.
