SOCIAL AFTERNOON.
ST. GEORGE’S LADIES’ GUILD. PLEASANT FUNCTION. A very pleasant social afternoon was held by the St. George's Ladies’ Guild in the St. George’s Hall yeste'rday, when there was a good attendance and a very happy time was spent. The time was spent in amusing compe'titions, dances by Diane Rhodes and songs by Mrs G. Wilson and Miss B. McCracken. During the afternoon a„ delicious afternoon tea was served. The president, Mrs R. J. Boyt, was wearing a fur coat and navy felt hat. Among those present- were :—Mesdames C. H. Holloway, H. G. Absolum, D. G. Cook, G. Buckland, J. Jacob (Te Aroha), B. H. Andrews, A. Maunsell, A. Russell, Hardcastle, Bray, Warrington, Porter, Frifker, E. R. Roskruge. Misses Walton, J. Turner.
