WEDDINGS.

SEABROOK—MASEFIELD. The marriage was solemnised at St. Luke’s Church, Remuera Road. Auckland. last evening, between Patty, only daughter of Mrs M. G. Masefield, of Auckland, and Robert, third son of Mr A. D. Seabrook, of Auckland. The Rev. J. A. Thomson performed the ceremony and Mr Zante Wood presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully arranged with hydrangeas and Madonna lilies, by friends of the bride and a . beautiful floral wedding bell of ivory cactus dahlias and maidenhair fern was suspended. The bride, who entered the church with her uncle, Mr L. Jones, wore a very beautiful heavily trained gown of ivory .tinted satin cut on slender graceful lines. Her veil was of billowing tulle falling from an exquisite seed pearl halo and she carried a lovely sheaf of ivory Easter lilies. Miss Shirley Jones (cousin of the bride) was the bridesmaid. She wore a frock of ivory, stiffened tulle over silk taffeta and an unusual halo of scarlet velvet leaves. She carried a sheaf of scarlet gladioli and begonias. Mr George Fisher was best man. After the ceremony a reception Was held at the Hotel Titirangi, where the tables were charmingly arranged with pink -phlox and maidenhair fern, and the lounge with palms and large howls of flowers. Mrs Masefield received the guests wearing a parma violet trained gown with large crushed silver flowers at the neckline. She carried a posy of white rosebuds. When Mr and Mrs R. Seabrook left by car for a motor tour the bride travelled wearing a smart navy and powder blue striped tunic frock and navy toque. They will make their home in River Road, Hamilton. CLEAVER—-THORBY. The marriage was solemnised at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Te Kuiti, on the evening of February 12, between Myra Kathleen, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H. E. Thorby, Oparure, and Russell Sydney, second son of Mr and Mrs H. 11. Cleaver, of Trooper’s Road, Oparure. The Rev. E. W. Hancock performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a lovely gown of oyster lace over satin and toning veil caught with orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of lilies, asters and pouvardlas. Miss Audrey Cleaver (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Olive Hull, of Wellington (cousin of the bride), were the bridesmaids. They wore frocks cut on similar lines, one in floral ninon over a pink foundation and the other in green lace trimmed with black velvet. They wore hats to tone and carried toning bouquets of dahlias and gladioli. Mr Howard Mark was the best man and Mr William Stringer groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Kelvin Hotel, Te Kuiti, : where the guests were received by : the bride’s mother, who wore a navy ■ floral frock with hat to tone. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing a nigger brown costume with hat to : tone. j When Mr and Mrs R. S. Cleaver left on a motor tour of the North Island, the bride travelled wearing a navy costume with accessories and coat to tone. They will make their home in the Northern King Country. Among the guests were the bride’s grandmother and the bridegroom’s grandmother and grandfather.
