OKOROIRE NOTES
POSTER DANCE. A poster dance was held In the Okorolre Hall recently, when there was a fair attendance. Tho Night Hawks’ Orchestra from Matamata played excellent music. The hall looked most .attractive with multi-coloured streamers. Mr B. Hayes was M.C., Miss A. Stephens, representing Shell Benzine, was ihe winner of the poster advertisement. Among those present were:—Mesdames Parker, wearing floral georgette; Oartlcton, apricot malalasse. and sequins and black velvet coaice; Guhb, maroon marocain; J. Brown, black georgette and silver lame; Bellamy, scarlet crinkle crepe: G. Brown, ivory taffela. Misses Phyllis Withers fTiraul. apple green lace: Valerie Gubh, beige coin spotted net and pink satin coatee: Jean Can-nth, daffodil crinkle crepe; Kathleen Gallery, midnight blue pebble erepe: M. Barker, sapphire marocain; Fileen Goodwin, scarlet, malalasse: Hilda. Hardwick, powder blue crepe cotelio; Doreen Pelerson, Margaret rose georgette: Mavis Leadbealer (Matamata). beige coin spotted dimity and while fur coal: Madge Garruth. t Okorolre). black ring velvet : K. Barker, palest green georgette.
