PLAY AT ST. ANDREWS. MATCH PLAY EVENTS. The finals of the two match playevents at St. Andrews golf links have now been decided, the Captain’s trophy being won by C. 11. H. Clarke and the Vice-Captain’s trophy by K. McLeod. In the replay of the semifinal between Clarke and Reid the former was successful by 3 up and 2to play. MeLood beat E. Wilson by 2 and 1, in the semi-final of the other match. During the week-end the finals were played and Clarke beat W. G. CbHstie 4 and 3, \Vhile McLeod beat J. if. Strang, 3 and 2. A bogey handicap was played on Saturday afternoon when the following were the best cards returned C. Sutcliffe, all square; C. B. Fuller-ton-Smlth, B. Cunvberworth, J. Sa sbury, 1 down; F. J. Beehan, E. L. Gillies 3 down; R. W. G. Rutherfurd, 4 down; A. E. McCracken, 5 down. Entries close with the secretary this evening for the South Auckland open championship which takes place at Hamilton on Thursday, Friday and Saturday next.

INTER-CLUB MATCH. FENCOURT DEFEAT NARROWS. The Ferrcourt Club received a visit.from members or tho Narrows Club on Saturday afternoon and an enjoyable inter-chio match was played. Mr S. D. Lowwet corned the visitors, and Mr Wallace re turned thanks on behair of the visitors.. The result was a win for Fencotirt by 7 games to 2.
