His Honour staled that as he did not know the statistics in regard to the district he could not say whether the list was a heavy one for the area or not. There were three groups. The first was breaking and entering, three men being charged in one instance and two men in the other. Both parties operated from cars from Auckland, travelled to country towns, allegedly committed the offences and returned to the city. In one case the motor car was hired and not returned and In the other the car w’as stolen.

The second group consisted of four charges of negligent driving, causing death, and the third group, two charges of keeping and selling liquoi in a proclaimed area.
