PLUNKET SOCIETY.

HAMILTON BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Hamilton branch of the Plunket Society was held in the rooms on Friday, June 7, 'Mrs A. M. Dlsley presiding. Hamilton District: New cases for month, 19; now eases breast-fed, 14; visits to rooms, adults 514, babies 472, older children G2, total 1048; visits to homes, 61. Frankton District: New cases for month, 12; new cases breast-fed, 12; visits to rooms, adults 203, babies 189, older children 12, total 404; visits to homes, 44. A motion of sympathy with Mrs Seavill and family was passed. The sum of £2O was realised at the Winter Show stall. Much useful work was done at the Plunket room adjoining the stall where a Karitane nurse was in attendance. Gifts of all kinds of'woollies will always be accepted for this stall, and may be left at the Plunket rooms at any time. The winner of the blue bed-jacket was Mrs Paterson, of Walton. A provincial conference will be held in Auckland on July 23. The chief purpose of this conference is to elect three members of the Dominion Council to represent the branches in the Auckland province. Mrs A. M. Bisley was nominated by the Hamilton branches. Three delegates to attegd the conference will be elected at the next monthly meeting. A photographic competition in aid of Plunket funds will be held in tire Great Bargain Stores during July.
