DECORATIONS FOR HARP.
POSSIBILITIES OF GREENSTONE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. An arrival by the Makura to-day from Sydney, Is Mr Prosper Ralston, of Canada, who for some months has been combing the Australian opal fields in search of the beautiful gems with which to construct the most beautiful harp in the world. He was in New Zealand some months ago investigating the commercial possibilities of greenstone and paua shells and lias returned with a view to obtaining a certain variety of greenstone, which is beautifully lrued and more or less transparent, for the inlaid -work on his harp. He believes the finished harp will be worth £30,000. While in Australia Mr Ralston covered 3500 miles by air visiting the opal jninlng fields.
