Copyrlirht LONDON, April 30 A fire broke out early this morning in Fryern Court, the Hampshire home of Mr. Augustus John, well-known artist. On returning homo at 2.30 a.m., after visiting friends, Mrs. John, the artist’s wife, found the place on fire. Her husband and son and a maid were asleep in their rooms and she aroused them. All the members of the household fought the flames until the arrival of the local fire brigade. The d'iningr room, its antique furniture, also pictures, including some painted by Mr. John, were burned.
