RELATIONS BECOMING BETTER. BRITAIN’S POLICY CRITICISED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright, TOKYO, April 5. Commenting upon EaiJ Stanhope’s statement in the House of Lords that Britain had offered her friendly services to Japan and China, the spokesman of the Japanese Foreign Ofllce today demanded : “ Why not let us alone, as Sino-Japanese relations are becoming better and mediation would be superfluous. “ I understand that Britain disapproves of anyone making a loan to China, but I do not comprehend Britain’s policy,” continued the spokesman. “ Apparently she still thinks Britannia rules the waves, including the China Sea, the Sea of Japan and the Pacific.”
