TOWN v. COUNTRY. MATCH AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Bright sunshine, with a light southerly breeze, formed ideal conditions for the commencement of the annual Town v. Country cricket match today. Play In the afternoon was notable for the collapse of the Town team for a total of only 194, and a poor batting performance by the Country players, who were all dismissed for 101. The Town team commenced Its second innings with 20 minutes to play, and at stumps had lost on® wicket for 38 runs. TEAM FROM WELLINGTON. > MATCHES AT AUCKLAND. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Wellington Mercantile Cricket League has decided to send a representative team to Auckland at Christmas time to play a series of matches against the Auckland and Suburban Association’s teams.
