LAWN TENNIS.
HAMILTON EAST CLUB. THE .ANNUAL MEETING, The annual meeting of the Hamilton East Lawn Tennis Club was held on Thursday night, the president, Mr W. Bourne, presiding over a good attendance. The balance sheet showed a oredit of £24 14s, and, with the annual report was adopted. • The election of offloers resulted: — Patron Dr. F. D. Pinfold; president, Mr W. Bourne; secretary, Mr A. Douglas; committee, Mesdames Hall, Knapp, Misses Savage, Bragglns, M. Major, Messrs Boyd, Hall, Knapp, Bourne, Junr., Berridge, Tlsch; club captain, Mr Knapp; delegates to Suburban Association, Messrs Douglas and Boyd; auditor, Mr C. Hall. • A sub-committee was set up to deal with all matters concerning the courts. Several new members were elected. • Trophies Presented. The cups donated by Dr. Pinfold and Mr Hall were presented by Mr Bourne. The ladies singles cup was won by Miss Webster and the men’s singles by Mr A. Douglas. The combined handicap cup was won by Miss Boyes and Mr J. Jordan. 1
