THE BLANKET FUND.
FURTHER SUBSCRIPTIONS. The Mayor’s Blanket Fund, opened for the purpose of alleviating hardship among unemployed during the winter, was to have been closed on Saturday, but though the response was generous, the need is not fully met. It has been decided,, therefore, to receive any further donations which may be sent in, and they will be duly acknowledged. Up to the present £136 Is lOd has been received in cash, as well as numerous pairs of blankets.
