An exciting scene followed a hard 15-rounds contest at Paddington Baths, between Wax (London), and Fred Bloomfield. Wax continued the fight after the final gong, and one of Bloomfield’s seconds jumped into the ring and struck him. Officials eventually parted the boxers, and the referee declared Wax the winner. He explained that he did not hear the gong.
