IS ZINOVIEFF DEAD?
REPORT AND DENIAL. i United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel, Copyright (Received Nov. 30, 12.30 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 29. It is reported from Berlin that Zinovieff is dead, but a Moscow message -officially denies the statement. A sensation was caused In England -on October 25, 1924, by the publication by the Foreign Office of the Government’s protest to the Soviet against a letter purporting to be written by Zinovieff to the British Communist Party inciting the latter to stir up rebellion in Britain. The publication of the letter led to the defeat of the Labour Government at the elections, owing to the fact that it had concluded a treaty and resumed relations, with Russia.
