ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
MOTOR-CYCLISTS INJURED. AUCKLAND, Monday. Skidding on the wet road surface on Saturday night, a motor-cyclist, Me Claude Reid, single, aged 21. was thrown heavily, receiving concussion. A skid was also responsible for Injuries received by another motorcyclist, Mr Harry Raker on Saturday.
FOUND ON THE ROADSIDE. AUCKLAND. Monday. An elderly man, believed lo be Mr Gordon Donald Maekay, a farmer, of Ru.iwai, was admitted lo Hie hospital yeslcrday with head injuries. Ilis condition is very serious. lie- was discovered by a passing motorist on the roadside on a small hill about two and a-half miles nnrl of Birkenhead, His bicycle, which ho had evidently been pushing up the hill, was lying beside him, but it was undamaged, and beyond slight head injuries consistin', with a fall, the Injured man showed no signs- of having been involved in a collision.
