DEFEAT OF McCONACHY. A WIN FOR NEWMAN. LONDON, Nov. 26. In a fortnight’s billiards match, the (Inal scores were Newman, 17,144; MeConaehy (New Zealand), 17,099. In a sensational finish to-day McConachy made a great effort. He carried a break of 450 unfinished to 1169 in the afternoon and gained the lead in the evening with a break of 762. However, Newman, in the final 15 minutes, made 392 unfinished.
