£1,238,104 IN PRIZES. From July 11, 1931, to June 30 last, the total subscriptions to State Lotteries amounted to £2,095,678, and £1,238,104 was paid out in prize money, says a Sydney paper. Unclaimed prizes totalled £9690 and prizes in he provided for in lotteries then current, but to bo drawn after June 30, amounted to £32,600, 'Pile excess of subscriptions over prizes in lotteries completed at June 30 was £767,103. principal items of administrative expenditure, which amounted to £09,064 were: Salaries, £3-4,027; overtime, £2301; advertising, £9131; postal and telegraphic charges, £12,704, and printing, £6831. These figures were tabled In the Legislative Assembly. The report did not disclose the amount paid to the hospitals during the period under review.
