In the Sheffield Shield cricket match, Victoria versus South Australia, yesterday the visitors, who had made 380 runs for four wickets, took their first innings total to 454 (Bigg, 166; King, -'ll). Grimmott took five wickets forT 6l, wall one for 99 and Jamieson two for 56. South Australia in their first Innings made 202 for three wickets (V. Richardson, not out, 115; Nischkc, 40), Richardson attacked the .howling all through a most spectacular innings.
