Gore, president of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, has arrived from Wellington to welcome the American players arriving by the Niagara cm Monday. So far no answer has been received here to the wireless invitation to the team to play exhibition games on the way through to Sydney next week. AT TE AWAMUTU. One of the first inter-club tennis matches of the season in Te Awainutu district look place on Wednesday afternoon, When the Methodist Club played pairy Factory Club on the latter’s CoulMs. An interesting afternoon's play ended In favour of Fac-' lory players by eleven sets and 97 games to eight sets and 81 games.
