STOCK EXCHANGE:
THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. The Stock Exchange steadied down again at this morning’s call. Quotations for Government stocks were virtually unchanged. There was a fair amount of interest in local body issues. In the insurance section South British were quoted ex div. with buyers at £2 16s 3d. Banks’ shares showed very few alterations. Bycroft’s shares were again in demand at £1 10s. A parcel was offered at £1 ss. Kempthorne-Prossers were asked for at £2 19s 6d. Holders were willing to accept £3 Is. SALEB RECORDED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. : The following sales were recorded on the Stock Exchange to-day:— Waihl, 17s 7d, 17s Bd. Blackwater, 17s 9d. New Zealand Insurance, 43s 9d. City, 54 per cent. (1940), £9B 10s. Devonport Steam, 18s.
