SUMMER SHOW.
PREPARATIONS IN HANDEXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEET. HEAD STEWARDS APPOINTED. \ Arrangements for the forthcoming annual show of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association at Claudelands, were the principal topio of discussion at a meeting of the general committee of the association at the showgrounds to-day. The president, Mr. 11. Windsor presided over an attendance of 15. A request for the use of the showgrounds for the annual camp of the Waikato Regiment, from February 11 to 18, was received from the beadquarters of the regiment—lt was decided to grant permission provided the dates do not clash with those of the Claudelands ram fair. The tenders or Messrs. Adams and Sons, of Auckland, for the catering at the show, and the McDonald Ice Cream Company for the supply of ice cream, were accepted. The Radio House were the successful tenderers for the installing of a public address system and facilities for providing music on both days of the show. Twelve new members were elected. With a view to making preparations for the show, a working bee Is to be held on the ground next Thursday. The following head stewards were appointed:—Horses: Thoroughbreds, Mr. T. G. Hinton; carriage horses, Mr. P. 11. Clarkin; Clydesdales, Mr. R. S. Hinton; children’s ponies, Mr. T. Hinton. Cattle: Shorthorns, Mr. W. CooperSmith; Jerseys, Mr. W. T. Luxton; Ayrshlres, Mr. W. R. J. Franklin; Friesians, Mr. A. M. Wilson; fat cattle, Mr. P. T. Powell. Sheep: Romney Marsh, Mr. J. C. Potts; southdowns, Mr. T. Martin; fat sheep, fat lambs, and group lambs, Mr. J. McNicol. Pigs: Mr. A. C. Johnstone. Miscellaneous horse box steward, Mr. H. Rouse; measuring r stewards, Messrs. J. C. Potts and J. Dalgiiesh; gate stewards, Messrs. A. J. Smith and F. D. Jones; space stewards, Messrs W. J. McKee and W. H. Paul; parade stewards, Messrs. R. Hinton and W. T. Luxton; saddle cloth steward, Mr. A. B. Cassidy; announcer, Mr. A. Livingstone.
