A PROLIFIC COW.
PRODUCES THREE CALVES.
OX FARM AT TE RAPA. For a cow to give birth to twin calves is not usual, but a Shorthorn cow on Mr. A. J. Wilson’s farm at Te Rapa, has beaten tills performance by presenting her owner with three line calves, each weighing about 451bs. The cow was served by a Jersey bull, and although one of her progeny has since died the remaining pair arc in good health, and give promise of developing into lino animals.
