CINEMATOGRAPH FILMS
REQUEST TO MINISTER. REORGANISATION OF CENSORSHIP (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The desirability of raising the standard of public appreciation of cinematograph films was stressed by a deputation from .tlie Wellington Society for the Protection of Women and Children, which waited on the Minister of internal Affairs. He replied that he realised the Importance of the matters raised, and would consider them. The deputation suggested the formation of a central committee to work In conjunction with the censor’s office, also for education propaganda. by the Government, demonstrating the scope of films, and the reorganisation of the Censorship Department to allow of the grading of films.
