AGREEMENT REACHED
SUCCESSFUL CONCILIATION. FIRST CASE UNDER NEW ACT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. The first dispute in Auckland under the amended Arbitration Act was heard by the Conciliation Council to-day. The parties were the Picture Theatre Proprietors and the Picture Theatre Projectionists’ Union. The . Conciliation Commissioner, Mr Hally presided. The dispute was filed early In April, but proceedings were delayed pending the passing of new legislation. A complete agreement, covering practically the whole of the terms and conditions of the old award, was reached without difficulty. The wages remain unchanged, and there are no changes in the conditions of employment.
