SHOW WORK.
(To Llie Editor.) Sir, —I as well as others wish to know why a few men were employed 17 hours per day aL the Winter Show, | and complaining of being completely knocked up after eight days of it. Many hands were put off at the opening day of the show as not being further required, though some of | them were quite competent, to have I assisted till the end. Could not. a | change over every $j hours have been I arranged, thus employing twice as j many hands. Instead of working a fe'.V j men equal to two days in one? In | former years, perhaps, it was dltllcult ' to obtain sutlieien! men for the flora - j lion of the show, hut that was not the ! ease this year.—l am. ole., NO FAVOURITISM.
