RUGBY FOOTBALL.
N.Z. ’VARSITY TEAM. A REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. TO MEET A STATE SIDE. A Press Association cablegram from Sydney states that in consequence of the splendid displays by the New Zealand University Rugby team a match against a New South Wales representative side has been arranged for Wednesday next at the university oval. The New Zealanders were to have played a combined universities side in Sydney on that day. Advice received in Wellington by Mr Martin Smith, chairman of the University' Rugby Council, states that all the members of the team are fit and well. THREE MATCHES WON. RECORD OF TOUR TO DATE. Following is the record of the New Zealand University' team to date: — Against Sydney University.—Won, 16—3. Against Navy.—Won, 22—0. Against Sydney University.—Won, 35—21.
