TEACHER’S DISMISSAL,
SAVINGS OF LIFETIME GONE. ALLEGATIONS OF PERSECUTION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Saturday. The appeal of Miss C. Phillips against her dismissal by Ihe Education Board was concluded tills morning. Miss Phillips contended that none of her pupils had been turned out with warped characters, and referred lit*; bench to reports of tier successes. She had been compelled to walk the streets for the last four months vainly seeking employment. The savings of a lifetime had been nearly all spent in Hegai proceedings and for medical attention as an aftermath of an assault at Masterton some years ago. She alleged persecution in various places, including * Rangiwahia, from which place sho had vainly Iried lo gel a transfer. K Decision was reserved.
