ROTOWARO COLLIERY’S DECISION. ADDRESS BY :.:iv HOLLAND* M.P. Following a meeting addressed by Mr 11. E. Holland, M.P., Leader of the Labour Party, • Mr W. Lee Martin, M.P., Mr W. McLaglan, secretary of the Northern Miners’ Federation, and Mr J. Roberts, secretary of the Alliance of Labour, a decision to press for the five-day week at present in operation in most of the mines in New Zealand, was reached by the miners of the Rotowaro colliery yesterday. The urgency of falling into line with the other mines in the Dominion was emphasised, and at the close of the meeting it was unanimously decided to urge the adoption of the policy.
